Yankees seem pretty quiet so far on the trade market this season. However Brian Cashman just about always has something up his sleeve. Could that something be Victor Martinez? I havent once heard him linked to the Yankees but he makes perfect sense for the 2010 season. It would be tough this year with Matsui being stuck at DH. But next season V-Mart could be our DH and occasionally fill in for Posada and Teixeira. Then after the 2010 season he is a free agent. Posada could move into a full time DH role if need be and hopefully one of Cervelli, Romine, Montero will be ready to take over catching duties full time. I mean you can never have to many good switch hitters. Just throwing this out there for a possible line-up in 2010 with Martinez and assuming we resign Damon.
